Does anyone have any fashion tips for a fashionless, very self-conscious lady planning a renewal of vows? ?
Up until a few days ago, I had a beachy/elvis renewal of vows planned with “beachy” kind of clothing. Hubby doesn’t like the beach that much, and didn’t want to have the renewal of vows there. So we’ve scrapped those plans for something alot more romantic. Were staying at a very romantic inn and having the renewal of vows there. Then going on a harbor cruise for dinner and dancing.

I’ve been searching the net for something to wear. I just can’t seem to bring myself to wear a dress. The thing is I have very horrible scars on my legs. I am extremely self-conscious.I wore a white dress suit for our wedding, but I still hated showing off my legs. I don’t wear shorts unless I’m running around the house or with people I know really well.

I don’t have a well defined waist, hips or backside. I have what you would call a “boyish” figure. I am 5’8, 180 lbs, extra large bone frame, very broad shouldered, large busted, size 12 feet. Depending on the maker of the clothing I wear a size 12-14. I’ve been looking at strapless blouses, trousers, pant suits, and I just can’t seem to decide what I would like to wear.

I will be wearing the diamonds I just had set in platinum (I’m allergic to yellow and white told). My jewelry will consist of a pair of diamond studs, a diamond drop necklace, and a platinum, diamond 3 stone anniversary band.

I will be having my hands and feet done in a “french” manicure. Makeup professionally applied. I’m not sure what I will do with my shoulder length wavy hair.

I just need help finding something to wear. Should I get a personal shopper? Should I see a seamstress? I do know that anything I buy off of that rack, I have to have tailored.

Can anyone help a fashionless woman like me? I would welcome any positive suggestions.

What about a wrap shirt (or a belted shirt), wide leg pants, and nice heels? The wrap shirt will create curves, and define a waist. The wide leg pants will just create a nice vertical line and the heels will lift the bum area.
